Training & Skills
Training is one way your practical combat behavior connects with character development. Your five core skills—Taijutsu, Resistance, Chakra Reserve, Ninjutsu and Precision—shape what your shinobi is good at and contribute to build specialization.
How it connects
Training is both practice and progression. The interactive encounter lets your build express Taijutsu/Ninjutsu/defensive choices, while challenge conditions reward playing toward a specific goal instead of using the same action sequence every time. Training can also intersect with jutsu discovery/mastery and prepared item effects.
Read the active challenge before the first turn. A challenge asking for remaining chakra or a critical hit changes what “best” play means for that run.
Practical guidance
Training is where progression and combat practice meet. The selected zone, mode, challenge, available actions and your current build all influence what a successful run looks like.
Use training to test whether a loadout is sustainable before taking it into harder content. If a seven-turn run exposes a chakra or defense problem, a longer fight usually will too.
Common mistakes
- Ignoring the active challenge.
- Choosing a stronger mode only because it exists.
- Forgetting that equipped jutsus—not every learned jutsu—define the active options.
