How Chakra Works
Chakra is the resource your shinobi spends on jutsus and several RPG activities. A new shinobi starts with 100 maximum chakra, 1 chakra control and 1 regeneration.
Regeneration
At the base rate, Kakashi restores chakra every 3 minutes. New shinobi receive 2× regeneration for their first 48 hours. Spending chakra restarts the regeneration timer, so using another technique just before a tick does not let you keep the old countdown.
Your current interval can change when a regeneration effect or eligible Premium benefit is active. /chakra info shows your current reserve and the values that apply to your character.
Reserve, control and regeneration are different
- Reserve is how much chakra you can hold.
- Control affects how efficiently and reliably you handle chakra in systems that use it, including part of the jutsu-learning calculation.
- Regeneration governs passive recovery.
- Nature determines which elemental techniques and affinity systems are available to you.
Running out of chakra does not delete progress, but it can stop an action that needs more chakra than you currently have. If you want to keep farming, plan expensive techniques around /chakra info, meditation and the activities that restore or reward chakra-related resources.
Reserve Seal
A Reserve Seal can store up to 30 chakra gained while meditating. It is separate from your normal maximum reserve; check Chakra Reserve for how to fill and release it.
Where to go next
- Chakra Training — improve your chakra-related progression.
- Meditation — recover and interact with the Reserve Seal.
- Chakra Test — discover your nature when your progression allows it.
- Jutsu Chakra Cost — understand technique costs.
