Chapters
/chapter shows your current main-story chapter and the exact objectives that block the next one. When you are unsure what to do after /start, this is the safest place to check before spending time farming something unrelated.
Chapter objectives are completed through the normal RPG commands. If the chapter asks you to train, explore a zone, use a jutsu, adopt a Ninken or win a fight, use that system normally; the chapter records qualifying progress in the background and the view updates when you return.
Completing a chapter
Open /chapter and read each objective. The buttons beside an objective can take you toward the relevant activity, but they do not bypass its requirements. Finish every mandatory objective, then return to the chapter view to claim/advance when the control becomes available.
Some chapters also have a final trial. You cannot advance until that trial has been passed. The displayed success chance depends on your current progression, so improving the recommended stats or preparation can make an early attempt more reliable.
If you fail a trial, the normal retry delay is 30 minutes. A prepared chapter-retry effect can let you try again before that timer ends. The third trial attempt is guaranteed to succeed, so a bad pair of rolls does not permanently block progression.
Chapter completion can award XP, ryō, ability points and chapter-specific drops. Some steps can also require an item such as a recommendation letter; if the chapter asks for one, obtain it before trying to advance.
Do not grind blindly when a chapter appears stuck. Re-open /chapter and read the exact unfinished objective—many gates care about a specific activity, zone or result rather than your total level.
