Exploring Zones

/explore lets you choose one of the zones currently available for Exploration, preview its danger and begin a four-event run. A zone being visible in /village zones does not automatically mean it is available for every activity; /explore only lists zones that your current progression can use for exploration.

Before confirming

The selection view shows your current health/chakra, the zone danger and—once the relevant regional mastery effect is unlocked—a preview of regional findings. You cannot start if your health is already at zero, and only one active exploration session can run at a time.

Normal exploration has a base cooldown of 3 minutes. Premium and Exploration mastery can reduce the effective time, but it will not drop below 30 seconds.

The four events

A full run uses 4 events. Events test one of Precision, Ninjutsu, Taijutsu or Resistance and spend chakra according to the action. Their base chakra costs are 5, 8, 6 and 7 respectively, with extra cost in more dangerous zones and reductions from Chakra Reserve.

At each event you can take the primary approach for the better reward multiplier or the safer approach for a higher/steadier success chance but smaller rewards. The final success chance is also affected by the relevant skill, zone danger and—in Ninjutsu events—chakra control.

Failing can cost health. If you retreat, expire or finish after failures, the result screen explains what you kept or lost and whether a substitution effect protected your findings.

Rewards and jutsu discovery

Drops come from the selected zone and are modified by danger, mastery and active reward bonuses. Exploration also gives XP/ryō and regional Exploration mastery. A completed run can discover a jutsu: the discovery chance is highest when an elemental fragment was found (20%), otherwise a successful run uses 10%, and a run with findings but no full success can still use 5%. Discovery is not the same as learning; you still need /jutsu learn afterward.
