Ninken Training
Use /pet train when you want to improve your Ninken without sending it on an exploration or challenging another player. Your companion needs to be available and have more than 10 energy; training then has a 4-minute cooldown.
Choose a training style
Before the session starts, you have up to 3 minutes to choose one of three styles. The choice changes energy use, combat tendencies, rewards, and drop odds:
| Style | Energy | Win rewards | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Balanced | 7–12 | 30–200 Ryō, 15–30 Ninken XP | Even attack/defense, 15% crit, 10% dodge |
| Strength | 10–15 | 50–250 Ryō, 20–35 XP | +25% attack, 22% crit, lower defense/dodge; drop chances ×1.15 |
| Resistance | 5–9 | 25–170 Ryō, 12–25 XP | +30% defense, 16% dodge, lower attack; drop chances ×0.9 |
A prepared Shinobi Ration cuts the session's rolled energy cost by 25% (rounded up, minimum 1). Once you start, the energy is committed and the training becomes an interactive fight where your support choices affect the result.
Winning, failing, and bonus challenges
A win pays the range shown above. A failed session still gives 5–12 Ninken XP, but no base Ryō. A perfect training result adds 25% XP.
If a prepared Tracking Whistle activates a tracking challenge, completing it adds 20% XP, 15% Ryō, and one extra weighted tracking reward. Challenges can ask the Ninken to land a critical hit, dodge, finish quickly, or land several hits.
Winning can roll several independent item drops. The base chances in Balanced training are 22% Chakra Residue, 14% Tool Fragment, 4% Chakra Metal, 4% Shinobi Ration, 2.5% Scent Sample, 2% Explorer Page, 0.8% Ninken Backpack, and 0.75% Tracking Whistle. Strength multiplies those chances by 1.15; Resistance multiplies them by 0.9. A loss uses a smaller recovery table instead.
Use /pet info before another activity if the session leaves your companion low on energy.
