Jutsu Effects
A jutsu can contain direct damage or support/control effects such as heal, chakra recovery, shield, dodge, burn, poison, damage over time, buffs, debuffs, defense changes, regeneration, and chakra regeneration. The technique card and /jutsu info describe the effects attached to that specific jutsu; not every technique of the same nature gets the same reaction.
Some techniques are explicitly marked for elemental reactions in battle:
- a compatible Suiton effect can remove a burn; a much stronger A/S-rank burn may lose only one charge instead of disappearing outright;
- a compatible Fūton technique can intensify an existing burn, making its damage 1.25× until that intensified state is cleared;
- a Raiton technique that conducts a Wet target consumes Wet, gains 8% damage, and applies Numb for 2 turns, reducing the next dodge chance by 10 percentage points;
- a technique designed to break Doton guard gains 15% defense ignore and 15% bonus shield damage against a Doton defense/shield.
Wet itself normally lasts 2 turns. Status resistance or immunity can prevent certain effects, and chakra control can strengthen several support/status values. Read the individual jutsu rather than assuming its nature alone determines every effect.
