Status Effects
Jutsus and prepared items can change a fight for several turns instead of dealing only immediate damage. The battle interface and history show the effect when it is applied or triggered.
Common effect families in the current combat system include burn, poison/damage over time, shields, dodge, temporary buffs/debuffs, defense/defense break, regeneration/healing and chakra recovery effects.
Control matters here: higher chakra control can increase the potency of several status/heal effects. Burn and other damage-over-time effects use their own scaled damage rather than repeating the original jutsu hit. Elemental reactions can also alter an effect—for example, a nature interaction may add damage, weaken dodge or change how armor/shields are handled.
Effects belong to the active combat state unless the specific item/system says otherwise. A battle burn or defense break is not permanent damage to your profile after the encounter ends.
