Automatic RP Events
NarutoVerse can add narrative prompts to eligible active scenes through SceneDirector. This feature is off by default and is separate from Kakashi RPG content.
These are roleplay hooks, not automatic outcomes. Players still decide how their characters respond.
Two switches matter
The ambient/narrative system has a general enabled state and a separate automatic-events state. The event-type toggles only matter once the broader feature is enabled.
Default timing
The current defaults are:
- event interval: 30 minutes;
- recent-activity window: 180 minutes.
Both can be configured from 10 to 1440 minutes.
SceneDirector considers recent activity so it does not keep throwing prompts into abandoned scenes simply because the scene record still exists.
Event categories
The current NarutoVerse narrative categories include:
- encounters;
- Bingo Book clues;
- NPC appearances;
- weather events;
- location/zone events;
- narrative mission hooks.
Each category has its own toggle.
These are NarutoVerse narrative events for roleplay scenes. They do not change Kakashi RPG progression unless a separate integration explicitly says so.
Recommended configuration
Start conservatively:
Automatic events: ON
Interval: 30–60 min
Activity window: 120–180 min
Only the event types your staff wants
Then adjust based on how active your scenes actually are.
Avoiding interruption fatigue
Automatic narration should create opportunities, not compete with players for attention.
- A very short interval can make scenes feel bot-directed.
- A very long activity window can wake up scenes that users consider finished.
- Enabling every event type at once makes it harder to tell which prompts your community likes.
Enable two or three event categories first, then ask roleplayers which prompts actually improve scenes before expanding the set.
