RPG Bridge

NarutoVerse is designed to work without touching Kakashi RPG state. The RPG Bridge is the optional layer that lets a server deliberately connect selected roleplay behavior to RPG mechanics.

It is disabled by default.

Independent switches

The bridge does not have one “make RP equal RPG” toggle. Its major controls are separate:

SettingDefaultMeaning
Linked integrationOffAllows the NarutoVerse ↔ RPG relationship to be used.
RewardsOffAllows supported bridge actions to grant bounded RPG rewards.
Consume chakraOffAllows supported RP/RPG actions to consume RPG chakra.

This separation is intentional. A server can link identities/context without automatically turning narrative jutsu into mechanical resource consumption or rewards.

Reward safety caps

The default bridge configuration bounds rewards at:

  • 500 XP;
  • 1000 Ryō;
  • 5 items per item reward amount.

The settings validator also enforces maximum configurable bounds, so bridge rewards cannot be set to arbitrary unlimited values.

warning

Do not enable rewards or chakra consumption merely because players use jutsu: tags. Narrative jutsu references are designed to work without mutating Kakashi RPG state.

  1. Get NarutoVerse characters/reviews working.
  2. Verify proxying in one or more RP scopes.
  3. Verify scenes and moderation/accountability.
  4. Enable linked integration only if your server actually needs it.
  5. Test with rewards off first.
  6. Enable one mechanical behavior at a time and keep caps conservative.

NarutoVerse stats vs RPG stats

They are different systems. NarutoVerse character rulesets use RP stat budgets such as Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Intelligence, Strength, Speed, Stamina and Hand Signs. Kakashi RPG uses its own persistent progression/skills/combat state.

The bridge should not be understood as “copy all NarutoVerse stats into RPG.”

Good use cases

  • A roleplay server wants controlled rewards for approved mission outcomes.
  • A linked character action should consume actual RPG chakra only in a specific integrated flow.
  • Staff want RP progression to interact with RPG through explicit limits and reviewable actions.

Poor use cases

  • Turning every RP sentence into RPG combat.
  • Awarding large resources for ordinary chat volume.
  • Enabling the bridge before staff/reviews/logging are configured.
tip

If you cannot explain exactly which RP action should affect which RPG value, leave that bridge switch off until the rule is clear.
